101 KGB Awards Blood Donors Big Bear Mountain Lift Tickets and Other Amazing "Treats" at 30th Annual Halloween Blood Drive

101 KGB, “San Diego's Classic Rock Station,” is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the KGB Halloween Blood Drive with the San Diego Blood Bank on Thursday, October 30.  This year’s event will take place at Sombrero Mexican Food, located in the Ross Shopping Center parking lot at 3225 Sports Arena Blvd., 92110, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All donors will receive a limited edition KGB Halloween Blood Drive T-shirt and can enjoy Sombrero Mexican Food.  In addition, the first 101 successful donors will be awarded the following prizes; a lift ticket for Big Bear Mountain Resorts, a Golf Mart gift card and a pair of Haunted House tickets.  The first 90 donors will also be awarded a pair of Birch Aquarium tickets and a pair of tickets to the San Diego Natural History Museum.

Due to the popularity of this event, appointments will not be accepted and prizes will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. 

"Over the past 29 years, the 101 KGB Halloween Blood Drive has become a favorite among our donors," said Lynn Stedd, blood bank spokesperson.  “Halloween is a great time for the blood bank to ‘poke’ fun at ourselves; and KGB is the perfect partner for that.”
