23rd Annual Cartoonists Day Set to 'Draw' Donors to the San Diego Blood Bank's Main Donor Center on Saturday, April 24

For the 23nd year, local cartoonists will “draw” blood donors on Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the main location of the San Diego Blood Bank, 440 Upas St.  The cartoonists, all members of the Southern California Cartoonists Society (SCCS), will be on hand to draw caricatures of donors.

Donors visiting the San Diego Blood Bank location that day, will meet Emmy-award winner and SCCS President Karyl Miller, Past President Jim Whiting and artists George Brewster, Stan Brown and Bob Constantine.

Blood donors are also encouraged to join the blood bank’s new Donor Difference loyalty program, where members are entitled to new benefits, including the ability to track their total cholesterol, blood pressure and pulse. To make an appointment, call 1-800-4MY-SDBB (800-469-7322) or go to www.sandiegobloodbank.org.
