Double Red Cell Donor Requirements

To be a double red cell donor on Bloodmobiles, donors must meet the following criteria:

• Have an easy accessible vein that can support an automated “machine” procedure
• Meet minimum hemoglobin requirements
• Meet minimum requirements for height and weight based on gender

To be a double red cell donor at our Fixed Site Locations, donors must meet the following criteria:

• Have an easy accessible vein that can support an automated “machine” procedure
• Meet minimum hemoglobin requirements
• Meet total blood volume requirements based on gender height and weight (requirement will be evaluated by staff)
