Gospel Fest Hosts San Diego Blood Bank Bloodmobile at Imperial Beach Pier Plaza, Saturday, May 15, From 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Gospel Fest, a free live music festival on Saturday, May 15, at the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza, is hosting the San Diego Blood Bank’s bloodmobile at the corner of Seacoast Dr. and Evergreen Ave., 91932 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Radio station La Mejor 99.3 will be onsite with the bloodmobile from 12 to 2 p.m. to award movie passes to the first 50 donors who make a difference in life by donating blood.

Local patient Tiana Bezio who needed blood transfusions as part of her treatment for osteosarcoma will also be on hand to tell her story on the main stage.

Anyone who is at least 17 years old, in generally good health and weighs at least 110 pounds may qualify to donate blood.  A good meal and plenty of fluids are recommended prior to donation. To make an appointment call 1-800-4MY-SDBB or visit www.sandiegobloodbank.org.
