Volunteer Appreciation Lunch

The San Diego Blood Bank thanked its many volunteers with an Appreciation Luncheon on April 18th.

About one hundred of our volunteers enjoyed lunch on the patio at our Gateway Donor Center.

15 year old Danica Voight, a blood recipient and former aplastic anemia patient, spoke to the volunteers and thanked them for all they do, as did SDBB CEO Ramona Walker and Account Marketing Manager Jennifer Bradley.

39 volunteers received the President' s  Volunteer Service Award pin for hours served in 2011.

Individuals serving more than 500 hours received a gold pin, those serving from 250 to 499 hours received the silver pin, and those serving 90 to 249 hours received bronze pins.
