'Powder Blue' Chargers Blood Drive T-Shirts Awarded To Donors At Chargers Fanfest, Saturday, August 2, At Qualcomm Stadium

Special ‘powder blue’ Chargers 2007 Division Champions Blood Drive XXIX T-shirts will be awarded to all donors at the San Diego Blood Bank bloodmobile hosted by the San Diego Chargers Fanfest celebration on Saturday, August 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium. The bloodmobile is open to the public and will be parked on the concourse inside the stadium near the Security Gate.           

In addition participants will have the opportunity to join the San Diego Blood Bank’s new Donor Difference program, which includes access to an online store for donors and the ability to track cholesterol, pulse, and blood pressure after each donation.   

Anyone who is at least 17 years old, in good health and weighs at least 110 pounds may be eligible to give blood.  A good meal is recommended prior to donation.  

Established through the support of the San Diego County Medical Society in 1950, the San Diego Blood Bank, a non-profit organization, is the largest blood collection agency in San Diego County.  A member of America’s Blood Centers, a national network of community-based blood banks, the San Diego Blood Bank serves patients in 50 hospitals throughout Southern California.
