San Diego Blood Bank and Cox Communications Partner on 'Get Connected' Blood Drive

The San Diego Blood Bank and Cox Communications are asking you to "Get Connected" with your community by donating blood one more time. In return, Cox Communications is donating 200 free Cox On DEMAND movies for 100 points, the amount earned with a single blood donation. Donors who redeem the Cox On DEMAND movie voucher will receive a mail-in coupon that will be credited to their Cox account after purchasing a movie.

"As one of the blood bank's year-round partners and a leading telecommunications provider in San Diego County, Cox Communications knows the importance of staying connected with our community," said Bill Geppert, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cox Communications in San Diego. "Without the San Diego Blood Bank reminding us all about the ongoing need for blood, our community wouldn't be able to provide the blood necessary for local hospital patients. Cox Communications is proud to reward blood donors for their lifesaving efforts."

Blood donors are also encouraged to join the blood bank's Donor Difference loyalty program, where members are entitled to many benefits, including the ability to track their total cholesterol, blood pressure and pulse through an online Wellness Profile.
