Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball Teams With Valley Blood Services

STORM JERSEY AWARDED TO THOSE WHO ‘MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN LIFE’ BY GIVING BLOOD AT THIS EVENT ON SAT., AUG. 22, IN THE DIAMOND CLUB
The Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball Team will host the 5th Annual Tailgate Blood and Bone Marrow Drive with Valley Blood Services on Saturday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 pm., in the Diamond Club at the Storm Stadium on Diamond Dr.
The first 200 blood donors who make a difference in life by donating at The Storm Tailgate Blood Drive will be awarded the following: A commemorative Storm Tailgate Blood Drive Jersey, tickets to a Storm game and a Padres beach towel. Blood donors also will be entered to win Padres tickets and will enjoy refreshments from Pat & Oscar’s and Taco Del Mar as well as coupons for Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and Golden Spoon yogurt.
Free bone marrow testing will also be offered at this blood drive for those who wish to join the Be The Match registry of the National Marrow Donor Program® with a simple cheek swab. To qualify to join the registry you must:
• Be between the ages of 18 and 60
• Be willing to donate to any patient in need
• Meet the health guidelines
The drive precedes The Storm’s game that evening, (starting at 7:07p.m.) against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
Blood donors must at least 17 years old, in good health and weigh more than 110 lbs. A good meal and plenty of fluids are recommended prior to blood donation.
