KSON Awards A Ski Lift Ticket and Movie Ticket at the 'Give a Pint for Your Country' Blood & Bone Marrow Drive on Thursday, January 7, at UltraStar Cinema

KSON is making a difference in our community on Thursday, January 7, at its “Give a Pint for Your Country” Blood Drive with the San Diego Blood Bank.  The drive is taking place at the UltraStar Cinema, 13475 Poway Road, Poway, 92064, from 1:30 to 7 pm.

The first 97 donors will be awarded a lift ticket for Snow Valley Mountain Resort as well as an UltraStar Cinema movie ticket.  In addition, donors will enjoy Sombrero Mexican Food burritos from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

“Donating blood is that ‘one more gift’ that people can give this holiday season that will really make a difference in someone’s life,” said Lynn Stedd, San Diego Blood Bank spokesperson.  “We appreciate KSON for helping us spread the word about the importance of giving blood on a regular basis.”

Free bone marrow testing will also be offered at this blood drive for those who wish to join the Be the Match registry of the National Marrow Donor Program with a simple cheek swab.  To qualify to join the registry you must be between the ages of 18 and 60, be willing to donate to any patient in need, and meet the health guidelines.
