 Blood Donations Help Patients Like... Trevor Norby Ten year-old Carlsbad resident Trevor Norby was diagnosed with aplastic anemia in 2006. His parents never dreamed their son would someday rely on blood transfusions to fight such a dangerous illness, but their experience has made them life-long advocates of volunteer blood donations.
Trevor received transfusions as part of his early treatment and responded remarkably well. Today, he is healthy and active, playing baseball year-round.
