 | | Description: | In accordance with the employee difference Standards of Excellence, under the direction of Manager Automated Collection or designee creates implements and performs education and training functions for all aspects in the use of assigned automated collections equipment and related computer software in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations, regulatory requirements and the professional standards of San Diego Blood Bank. Trains new collectors, retrains and monitors competency of existing staff. Trains and motivates all staff to recruit donors to automated collection and reschedule current donors for their subsequent donation to ensure the blood supply. Implements and monitors approved related validation plans. Ensure the confidentiality of all work related information concerning a donor/patient, the organization, other employees and volunteers. Must be able to work variable hours and days, including some weekends and at other blood center locations or on bloodmobiles, as needed.  | | Description: | Work within the Blood Collections Department to write and/or edit technical documents such as Donor Records (UDHQ and Autologous records) standard operating procedures, performance checklists and comprehensive test questions, validation protocols for equipment, resource and training materials. Work closely with the Quality Assurance /Compliance Department to ensure that policies and procedures in the Blood Collections Department meet the standards of all appropriate regulatory agencies.
