Vehicle Donation Program

Help the San Diego Blood Bank save lives  by donating your car, truck, RV, motorcycle, boat, or other vehicle. Avoid the hassle of selling your car and receive tax benefits! We'll pick your vehicle up anywhere in San Diego County at no cost to you.

The process is quick and easy:

Step One:

Contact the San Diego Blood Bank Foundation Office at (619) 296-6393 ext. 8176 or fill out our online vehicle donation form. A consultant will set up an appointment for your vehicle to be picked up.

Please note: Your vehicle does not need to run but the engine must be present, parts attached securely, and the tires should be inflated.

Step Two:

Your vehicle will be picked up free of charge. You will receive a receipt indicating the selling price of your vehicle for tax purposes. Our representative will deliver and explain all the necessary paperwork to you!

Step Three:

You will be given a receipt with our 501(c)3 Federal Tax ID number certifying that you have donated a vehicle. This letter certifies your eligibility for a charitable tax deduction.
