Since 1950 the San Diego Blood Bank has been serving the health and safety needs of our community. Each day - 365 days a year - the San Diego Blood Bank responds to emergencies across our region, through the help of volunteer donors. However, we recognize that while not everyone is eligible to donate blood, many people still want to support the mission of the San Diego Blood Bank. One way to contribute is through a financial gift.

As a not-for-profit 501(c)3, the San Diego Blood Bank relies on members of the community for support - as blood donors and as financial contributors. Funds are always needed for critical things such as upgrading our facilities and equipment, educational programs for youth and adults, enabling more bloodmobiles to go out in our community and testing of every unit of donated blood to insure the highest levels of safety.
