400 units of blood may seem like a lot of blood. It'll get us through till tomorrow.

Every day in San Diego, more than 30 area hospitals rely on the San Diego Blood Bank for their supply of blood. And every day, nearly 400 units of blood need to be donated just to meet demand.

For that, we have over 60,000 individual donors to thank every year.
