101.3 KATY Invites the Community to a Blood Drive at Home Depot, Murrieta, Saturday, October 3Posted: September 30, 2009
BLOOD DONORS AWARDED CHOICE OF MOVIE TICKETS, CHICK-FIL-A OR GOLDEN SPOON YOGURT 101.3 KATY and Valley Blood Services invite the Southwest community to a blood drive at Home Depot, 25100 Madison Ave., Murrieta, 92562 Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bloodmobile will be parked in the parking lot. All donors will be awarded a choice of 2 free UltraStar Cinemas’ movie tickets, a Chick-fil-a sandwich, Golden Spoon yogurt or other prizes. Also from 9am to 11am there will be FREE Hamburgers, Hot dogs, Pizza and samples of BBQ ribs. “Did you know by donating with Valley Blood Services, you are making a difference in the lives of patients right here in our community,” said Sue Forster of Valley Blood Services. Blood donors must be over age 17, in good health and weigh more than 110 lbs. A good meal and plenty of fluids are recommended prior to blood donation. Valley Blood Services, a division of the San Diego Blood Bank, serves the residents of Southwest County, and is the primary supplier of blood to Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Medical Centers. It is located in the Murrieta Spectrum Center at 25115 Madison Avenue, suite 105, facing Los Alamos Road. The San Diego Blood Bank has been the primary blood provider to Southwest County hospitals since 1990.
