2ND ANNUAL SDCCU HOLIDAY BOWL BLOOD AND FOOD DRIVE KICKS OFF NOV 19th

San Diego County Credit Union Holiday BowlSan Diego Blood Bank and San Diego Food Bank are hosting an event during a time of year when donations are greatly needed. Bring a food item to donate for the Food Bank and schedule an appointment to donate blood. Members of our community who have received blood transfusions will be there to share their stories and thank donors. Join us!

WHAT: 2nd Annual SDCCU Holiday Bowl Blood and Food Drive presented by Kaiser Permanente

WHEN:  Thursday, November 19, 2020, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm RAIN OR SHINE

Appointments are required to donate blood. Click here to schedule an appointment.

All donors will receive the following while supplies last:

  • Throwback Blood Donor Holiday T-shirt
  • Hooleys Restaurant Pint for Pint coupon
  • Chicken Charlie’s Christmas tree discount coupon
  • Grossmont Center gift bag of store coupons

To be eligible to donate blood, you must be at least 17-years old, weigh at least 114 pounds, and be in general good health. For information regarding COVID-19 and blood donation click here. SDBB is testing all blood donations for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. Learn more.

Food donations to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank can also be made at the Blood Drive. If you are donating blood there will be a couple donation barrels near registration. If you are NOT donating blood, there will be drop off area so you do not need to get out of your car! COVID-19 INFORMATION:  

  • Safety measures are in place. Blood drives are tightly controlled environments with a limited number of people gathering at one time.  

  • All donors and staff are required to wear face coverings.

  • SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing on every blood donation. Learn more

  • If donors (including healthcare workers) cared for, lived with or otherwise have had close contact with an individual(s) diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19 infection, they are deferred for 28 days (4 weeks) from the last date of exposure with the individual(s). See all COVID-19 related deferrals
