Save lives at the San Diego Causeplayer Blood Drive @ the Shrine


With great power comes great responsibility. Reserve your spot to donate blood July 23 – July 25, 10 am-4 pm, at the San Diego Causeplayer Blood Drive @ the Shrine. Use your lifesaving power for good and save lives.

Visit the Shrine and participate in the fun events like a Cosplayer March on 5th from 1pm - 2pm each day and plenty of opportunities to snap pictures with costumed characters.

Blood donors will receive a Funko Pop! swag bag and the amazing feeling of saving lives. There are limited appointments so get yours today! FREE MTS/Trolley Transit with blood donation appointment and donors receive FREE french fries from Tin Fish.

To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 114 lbs., and be in general good health.

COVID-19 and Blood Donation: 

  • Safety measures are in place. Blood drives are tightly controlled environments with a limited number of people gathering at one time.  

  • Mask required unless fully vaccinated. Face coverings optional for all vaccinated donors, volunteers, guests and employees.

  • We are currently deferring ALL DONORS who have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having COVID-19 are deferred for 4 weeks from the date the symptoms resolved. See all COVID-19 related deferrals.

  • We are temporarily deferring donors that have traveled outside the U.S. in the last 10 days. Travel to Baja, Mexico is acceptable.
