San Diego Blood Bank and Comic-Con International have teamed up to save lives with the 46th Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive. Starting July 20, 2022, Comic-Con attendees, cosplayers, heroes, lifesavers are welcome to donate blood at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in the Coronado Ballroom (4th floor) all five days during San Diego Comic-Con®.
Blood donors will receive a limited-edition Marvel Thor T-shirt (featured below). T-shirts are available while sizes and supplies last.

The public is welcome to don their capes and save lives with us. Blood donors do not need a convention badge to donate blood. Photo ID with D.O.B. and masks are required. We strongly encourage taking public transportation. Parking passes are not available.

Donating Blood at Comic-Con 2022
To donate blood at Comic-Con, you do not need to have a convention badge. Blood donors may donate regardless of vaccination status. Arrive hydrated and bring Photo ID.
Safety measures are in place. Facemasks are required for all blood donors, staff and guests. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.

About the Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive at Comic-Con
A total of 53,707 pints of lifesaving blood have been donated by Comic-Con attendees, exhibitors, professionals, volunteers, and staff—impacting up to 161,000 lives over the course of 45 years.
During a 38-day virtual blood drive in July 2021 and a blood drive at the Marriot Marina Marquis during Comic-Con Special Edition in November 2021, more than 18,885 pints of blood were donated—making 2021 the most successful SDCC year ever! Thank you!
