Las Patronas, a philanthropic group who has been serving the San Diego community since 1946, extended their generosity to us here at the San Diego Blood Bank. Because of their commitment to providing financial assistance to non-profit organizations like ours, we were given a financial gift of $19,445!

Their kind donation will allow us to purchase one Trima machin e to be placed inside a bloodmobile. Trimas require less time to donate platelets. Because the shelf life of platelets is only five days, platelet donors make an immediate impact.
